In September 2008, with the approval of the National Standardization Administration (National Standards Committee Comprehensive [2008] No. 145 Document), National Technical Committee 460 on Stone of Standardization Administration of China was established. The secretariat is located in Beijing Sinoma Synthetic Crystals Co., Ltd. and Sinoma Synthetic Crystals Research Institute. The committee mainly responsible for the formulation and revision of national standards in the fields of stone foundation and methods, as well as the coordination and management of the sub-technical committee, which is related to the International Organization for Standardization Natural Stone Technical Committee (ISO/TC196).
There are four sub-technical committees:
Subcommittee 1 on Standards of Management and Application Technology of National Technical Committee 460 on Stone of Standardization Administration of China. Specifically responsible for the standardization of stone management and application technology and specifications (excluding logistics and related services).
Subcommittee 2 on Products and Auxiliary Materials of National Technical Committee 460 on Stone of Standardization Administration of China. Specifically responsible for the standardization of stone products and related auxiliary materials.
Subcommittee 3 on Stone Material Processing Machinery of National Technical Committee 460 on Stone of Standardization Administration of China. Responsible for the standardization of special stone machinery.
Subcommittee 4 on Agglomerated stone of National Technical Committee 460 on Stone of Standardization Administration of China. Responsible for standardization in the field of synthetic stone.
